Chaos is passionate
about loving people she knows. She loves to be petted, cuddled and
loved. She gives
kisses, and looks at you like you're the only person in the world.
She's a quiet dog, (except when someone goes by the house and it suddenly sounds like a thousand tweety birds have been let loose inside!) and has experience living with children ages six and up. She is just great with them. She walks nicely on her leash, and she's house trained. She knows basic commands - and is becoming more social every day.
She really likes
having other dogs in her life to keep her company. But this girl will need someone to
continue on with her and help
her not be afraid. The rewards are amazing!
She's got a big heart to go with her great big sense of humor! You can almost see her scoff at the other dogs! She's a fun, active girl who loves to run and play, and really... we think she wants to be a shepherd. While Chaos would love to be adopted into a home with another dog, it must be one that likes to play and doesn't mind the rough and tumble kind of play. Cause that is Chaos. She loves to play tug, would be an amazing agility star, would rule the arena at fly ball, and would make an excellent jogging partner!
We are absolutely enjoying having this girl around. How anyone could treat such a sweet soul so horribly, is simply beyond us. Chaos would like a home where she is allowed to be up on the couch and snuggle with her people. She dearly enjoys that, and loves to cuddle up at night with you as well. These are her bonding moments, and she does not take advantage of this opportunity. She simply needs to be with her people at times, and we want that for her. |
Is she as soft as she looks? Yes, she
is! And she's a terrific dog, too. Chaos is nice to other dogs, she loves to play and she loves spending time with those she loves, and she's only 49 little pounds! Chaos is such a shy girl (She's awfully unsure whether you're going to be nice to her when she first meets you, and tends to duck away). Once she gets to know you, she's very adoring! And this five year-old has waited an awful long time to be noticed.
Chaos has a good kind of energy. She can be raring to go one minute, and settle in seconds. Once she gets over her initial fear of new people, she is a beautiful example of her breed. She's extremely intelligent and a great tennis ball chaser! She knows "sit", "down", and is learning "wait". "Wait" is hard for this girl, as her instincts have always been to flee. She's capable of great athletics, and now that she is at her ideal weight, she is a lean little machine! While she is not an escape artist here with us, she did clock it out of the pound and over their 14 foot chain link fence with ease. She will need a 6 foot fence or taller, and initially, must never be left outside without someone there. She's so food motivated, (once bonded) that you could probably teach her just about anything, including break dancing, as she is very much inclined!

Chaos is a true
little treasure that is very proud of herself, but still initially
mistrusts people. We will continue to work with Chaos on her
socialization skills, but her new family must be experienced and willing
to do this too. It is imperative to Chaos, because of her breed, that
she is given every opportunity to become the dog that she was intended
to be.
She is spayed, up to date on her shots, and is ready for her new life! If you have any questions about Chaos, please email us at GSDRescue@shaw.ca For information on how to sponsor Chaos, please go to our Sponsor page |

**We feed a raw diet to our rescues. This cuts down on the amount of medical attention they need, as well as makes them all around healthier. The cost to feed Chaos for one month is roughly 102.08 **If you are able to buy one months worth for one dog, it would greatly lessen the load. Please specify which dog it is that you would like to feed, and we will show your pledge on each dog's page. This special sponsorship is called "Foster Partner in Care" and simply means that you are part of the foster program for the dog of your choice. One home supplies the shelter, and the other supplies the food. Many people want to help, but have no room in their homes to do so. This is the perfect way to be involved with the animal of your choice and be updated regularly on their care and well being. It's a win-win for everyone, especially the dogs!
