My name is Jack. I need a home and a best friend.

I am a 2-year-old, neutered, male German Shepherd. My foster mother says I am loyal, affectionate, curious, and smart. I ride great in the car and love car rides! I love to play with the other dogs, would like to find a home with another dog that I could have as a playmate.
I have big brown eyes that will melt your heart, and if you have what it takes to be my human, I think I could be your special angel. If you're looking for a one-on-one relationship with a loyal friend, I'm ready to make that commitment!

Jack is about as silly as they come! He really is just a big goof ball. I can do anything with him I want to! He is very patient with human arms flailing, pushing and prodding everywhere! He's a good natured, gentle giant. He does mouth a bit, but we've been working on that, and he is getting much better about it. He is very smart and is learning quickly.
He still pulls on leash if using a regular collar, but with a harness, our disabled (leg braced) dog walker can walk him! He is learning to walk nice on a flat collar, but still has a ways to go with this.
Jack doesn't jump on you, but is rather clumsy, and will bump you or push you while he's playing. He is like a 4 month old puppy, in a 2 yr olds body! He has been good with all the dogs, he does know who he can and cannot play rough with.
Jack is a over-all great boy. He is smart and eager to learn. We'd like to see Jack go to a home that gets out and does things with their dogs. He enjoys human and canine company and is a easy and happy go lucky guy.

Jack was adopted June 18th 2005

Update:

Things are going well.  Jack is settling down quite well.  I took him to another dog park near False Creek, and there were a lot of dogs there.  He had a lot of fun, and I even let him off leash for a while.  He quite enjoyed it, and tired himself out, which is good for me.  He got along well with all the dogs there, even the small ones.  He is very easy going.  Several people remarked on how much he looks like Buster.

I remembered to recharge the camera battery, and was able to get a few pics.  The most difficult part was to keep Jack in one place long enough for me to get a picture.
