What? how the heck did this sweet fella end up at German Shepherd Rescue??!?!
Well it's a long story, but in a nutshell, he found us, and now we can't possibly do anything but makes sure he gets the best, best home.
He he is under a year old, house trained and a COMPLETE love!
Koda is now in foster care and doing well. He is recovering from his neuter and dew claw removal.
He is just about the sweetest boy ever, and has a great big heart inside that great big body.
Koda gets along well with the other dogs in his foster home and is pretty much just an easy, big dufus.

Koda will make a wonderful family companion. He is very versatile, and very eager to please.
We would like to see him go through an obedience course though, as his recall completely sucks at this point and it will be "thanks for the good times" as he sails off into the sunset.

Koda was adopted on December 3rd 2005

A special thank you to all Koda's sponsors:

Update June 2006

Hi Kelly,

Just thought I'd send you a quick update on Koda.  He has adjusted very well as a member of our family. He has made himself at home without any problems.  He sleeps and eats well, in fact we  nicknamed him the "Hoover", as he is forever cleaning my floors of any leftover crumbs. He sure does love his food!   He gets lots of exercise (to keep control of the weight) and has been off leash on our trail walks since about February .  He listens well and usually comes when called, he doesn't tend to wander far as I think he is more concerned about losing me so he runs ahead and then runs back which is great as he does double the walk and I only have to do it once.

His biggest problem is his greeting another dog, he runs so quick to say hello and unfortunately his body size and brain haven't quite got it together yet so it can be a bit overwhelming for the other dog. We are still working at a slower greeting which will come as he continues to socialize.  He is a quick learner and has figured out most of the house rules which allows him to have run of the house when we are home or away.  The boys are loving him and still continue to fight over who's bed he will be sleeping on.

I've included a couple of pictures from one of our favorite walks, he loves the water and often just lays in it, I'm not sure yet if he can actually swim, we have been to the beach a few times but he just lays at the shore and hasn't ventured in to where he would have to swim, at least he knows how to cool off on those hot days.

Hope all is well with you and GSRBC.

Lisa and family.
