Louie is a 5 year old male that came to us from an animal control facility. He is a beautiful spirit that gets on well with all animals and humans of all sizes.

Louie was not a candidate for adoption at the shelter because he suffers from cataracts and will need surgery to save his sight.

We can't stand to allow this to happen, and have taken him into our program. There is no reason that he should go blind due to a lack of funds. We will be redoubling our fundraising efforts to help this dear boy.

Surgery for Louie's eyes will be approximately $3,600.00, but more than that, he will need a safe and quite foster home to recover in for at least 3 weeks post surgery.

Please, if you have a safe place and are able to open your heart and home to help Louie, please be in touch with us. We think he's worth it, and hope you will too; he just needs the chance.

It is with great sadness I have to tell you we lost Louie today.  He had been doing so well – regained some weight – eating, playing and yesterday afternoon out of the blue he started to vomit again.  By last night it was apparent there was blood and thru the night there was more.  He has been through so much and had such a will to live but he had had enough.  I am heartbroken and words can’t describe how I loved him and what a wonderful soul he was.  He was with us such a short time but he will be so missed.   I will talk to you in a few days but for now it isn’t possible.
