| Hi! I'm Pepsi!
I was rescued off a reserve and brought to the local shelter after someone tried to throw me in the garbage at just 10 weeks old. When the GSRBC lady came to pick me up, I was very afraid. I don't know where my brothers and sisters are, but I have a feeling that I am one of the lucky ones. I was such a shy and frightened girl when I came to my foster home, but living with their two dogs and 5 cats, I soon got over that. My foster parents were wonderful and they showed me that the world isn't always a scary place, and there are some really good people out there that love little girls like me. My new "Dad" came along one day and fell in love with me. I wasn't giving it away so easily, he'd have to earn me if he wanted me! Looking back, I realize how silly that was, because he is the best thing that ever happened to me. He's patient and loving with me and just accepts me with all my quirks. So I give him a run for his money, just to be sure he is for real. And when he laughs at me, he lights up my world. When I get scared, he protects me, and who better to protect you than a police officer that can shoot all the bad guys? ha ha. I'm growing bigger and stronger and more confident everyday. My person found me, and I am so glad he did. I went from being in the trash, to living the high life, snuggled up in his arms. I think the GSRBC lady is working hard on him to get me a house mate. My Dad looks worried every time he talks to her! So I just wanted to say thanks to everyone for caring about me and helping me. Don't worry about me! I'm doing really good now, and I'll get my Dad to let you know how I am doing from time to time.

August Update:
Thought I'd touch bases and give you a little update on Pepsi. You must be
thinking, what on earth could be that different within three days... Well..
she's met just about everyone in the complex, and all the kids are enjoying
playing with her. I took her to a friend's house the other night, and they
couldn't believe how well behaved she was. Tonight I had a few people over, and
after about 15 minutes or so, she was everybody's friend. She's the life of the
party.
We're going to have to work on the whole thing where she pees when she's scared,
but I'm hoping she's going to grow out of that. We had a little chat about
chewing the couch on Tuesday, and she hasn't tried it since. Other than that
she's taken to being my best friend quite quickly. She follows me wherever I go.
Great little girl.
Remember that little rat dog a few doors down?... well, it tried to voice some
seniority when poor Pepsi came along. Pepsi has taken quite quickly to letting
it know who's boss. Now the little rat dog just runs away.. I thought you'd
appreciate that.
anyway. Thanks again for your help. Pepsi's just great. And no, there's no room
for another at this time ;-)
Talk to you later,
~Dave
