But Hope was having none of that however, and tests came back negative for parvo. hope is still fighting a battle right now, and she is not out of the woods yet, but she is gaining ground and winning the race every single day!

She has a zest for life that will not be kept down, and we are happy to see she is improving so rapidly! She has herself a strong little will to survive!!

We are giving Hope every opportunity to pull through this and have a long, happy, and healthy life.

Hope is currently being fostered with one of our members, and is having to go to work with her daily and be kept in a crate. We are looking for a special needs foster for Hope, where someone is home full time and can start this girl on her socialization while continuing on with her medical care.

She is a spitfire girl, who loves people, but is showing signs of being shy with strangers. She warms up quickly and will easily overcome this with continued socialization.

Little Miss Hope is moving into her new home this weekend (Jan. 18th)!

Yay for Hope!

If there was ever a dog more deserving of the name, Hope, this little girl has earned herself the title.

She is merely 6 weeks old now, and a true survivor, who fought hard to bring herself back from the brink of death...quite literally!

We got a call that there were 3 puppies in a local area. One had died, one had run off and one was still there and was barely alive. Could we assist?

Two of our members went onto a reserve to search for, and collect the surviving puppy. When we found her, we had serious doubts that she was going to make it.

Flat from starvation, severely dehydrated, covered in fleas and lice, not even able to eat anymore on her own, barely able to stand and smelling quite foul! We could feel every bone on this little ones body...

We were sure this little girl had parvo and would not be with us for long.

November 22nd 2007

Hope has recovered amazingly well, and is showing now side effects at all from her ordeal.

She is a spunky girl who has a great zest for life and is too funny for words!

We are happy to report that little Hope is now ready for adoption, and is looking for her forever home!

January Update:

Hope is growing like a weed! She is learning her basic obedience and knows, sit, down, 'go to bed', stay and come. She is a quick learner, and wants to investigate every little thing she sees!

Hope is now 4 months old, has been spayed. She is house trained and leash trained. She enjoys playing outside and really would like a home of her own that has a fully fenced yard, so that she can explore every blade of grass within it.

Special thanks to all of Hope's sponsors
