Adopted!!!

She is bossy, full of herself, smart, smart, smart and basically a very cute going concern!

This funny girl loves to snuggle and play ball, loves going for walks and is learning good leash manners!

Asia is great with other dogs, people of all ages, crate trained, and is working on house training. She loves to smile when you tickle her under the arms!

She is a goofy, but head strong girl who will need a new home that is familiar with the breed.

Asia does fine with the children in her foster home, as they are respectful and easy to be around. She is not available to a home with young children, as she is still very mouthy and has been let to get away with a lot of behaviors in her previous home, thus causing her to lose it!

July 23rd, 2008

Asia is now 3 months old, had her second puppy shots and is ready for her new home!

Asia is a 10 week old PB GSD. She is not yet spayed, but will be done and brought up to date on her shots before she is a adopted. She is a over all healthy girl!

Asia was on her way to the SPCA because her family felt she was aggressive and they were unable to handle her. This was their first dog, and they couldn't of picked a worse match. Asia is a working girl :)

Cheeky Asia is looking for an energetic family that she can call her own! She wants to be doing something and the home that can provide her with jobs to do, is the home that will have a wonderful and rewarding experience with Asia for life.

Asia would like a home where at least one person is home full time, and there is already another larger breed dog for her to play with.

She wants a home with people that are active and do something with her. She is not a couch potato by any means and needs more than just a few walks a day!

Asia would be a great dog for schutzund, agility, search and rescue or even competition obedience. She is a smart and active girl that needs some serious stimulation  to keep her mind active. She will thrive in almost any activity and would do best in a sport dog home.

Asia is being fostered in Chilliwack.

Little miss Mary Sunshine is growing like a weed and keeping us on our toes! She has given us quite the scare recently, but gulping down a pile of rocks and gravel! The situation became quite serious and this little girl spend almost a week at the vet on IV. It was touch and go for her the first few days and we were beside ourselves with worry! Thankfully, she pulled through like the trooper that she is and we will have to be even more vigilant with her. Asia is into everything! She is a going concern 90% of the time and you just can't take your eyes off her for a minute!

The good news is that she has calmed down considerably since this incident. However, this little girl will definitely need a stimulating home to keep her mind and body active. If she isn't given direction and something to do, she will indeed find it herself.

Asia has has so much interest, and we thank you all for wanting to add this special girl to your home. However, when we say that Asia needs to be worked, we are quite serious about this fact. Perhaps we need to be clearer on what Asia is actually about. These pictures sum up the little princess pretty well!

October 23rd 2008

Asia is now 6 months old and is settling out very nicely. She will do well in an active home, but again, no young children, as she can be very exuberant still. Everyone who sees her thinks she is so incredibly cute but her attention always goes to other dogs first! She adores other dogs and tries to make friends where ever we bring her. We call her the social butterfly, as she flits from dog to dog greeting and kissing.

So, in order to place her where she would be happiest, she should go to a home where there is already another pet that needs a friend. Of course, if you don’t have a dog, we will be happy to supply you with another one! Her current best friend is Tanner, who tolerates Asia’s silliness so well. She plays with the other dogs very nicely.
Weight – around 30-35 lbs which is surprising because she does not appear to weigh that much being a “smaller medium” size dog so she must have heavy bones! Asia will be a smaller girl at full size.

What a beautiful girl Asia is growing into!

November 30th 2008 ~ Update

Asia is certainly a little star. She shines, she twinkles and everyone loves to gaze at her, and she expects no less. :)

Asia has come along nicely and we have been working on lowering her drive. She is now ready for a pet home, though we would still like to see her go to a home with no young children, as she can still be quite excitable.

She is now fully house trained, started in obedience and is a very smart girl! Her recall is almost perfect, and she is able to be free in the house without incident.

Asia loves to snuggle in and watch your favorite show with you, or just have a snuggle at bedtime. She is always up for her share of attention!

Asia has been raised on a raw food diet, and we would like to see her continue on with that. For more information on the raw food diet, please check out our web links.

December 30th 2008 ~ Update

Sweet Asia is still looking for an energetic family that she can call her own! This funny girl loves to snuggle and play ball, walks with her foster family and playing with her canine companions!

Asia is  spayed, UTD on her shots, has a healthy appetite and just an over all healthy girl! She is great with other dogs, people of all ages, crate trained, loves to ride in the car, is house trained and loves to smile when you laugh with her!

She would like an inside home with knowledgeable GSD owners who are active and can stimulate her mind as well as her body. She will be happiest in a home that will provide some kind of doggy activity and structure, because she is a very busy little girl who likes to have a lot going on in her life!

Asia would excel at any activity and would be the star of her class in obedience, agility, fly ball or any other activity you put her in. She is eager to learn, has the intelligence to master the task and truly does want to please you.

January 26th 2009 ~ Update

Due to my recent circumstances, Asia has been moved into another foster home and is spending some time with Logan's family! She interacts and plays with Reuben and Dylan on a regular basis, though I am sure she misses Tanner, as they had a very special bond.

Asia is growing into quite a nice young 'lady'. She has become much more respectful for people and their personal space, and while she is still a going concern, she is the same little snuggle bug she has always been.

She has settled out nicely and can now focus on her training and getting some much needed direction. She loves to retrieve balls and stuffed toys, and knows how to sit for treats or praise and has recently learned to come running when her name is called. When she gets tired she loves to curl up for a cuddle, but when she isn't tired, she is a little ball of energy.

Asia is more than ready for a home of her own and we are actively seeking that special placement for this very special girl that we have all come to love dearly.

February 15th 2009 ~ Adopted!!!

Little miss Asia has caught the eye and hearts of two very special people. Her long wait for a home of her own is over. She's found her special place in this world, and they were very much worth the wait!!

We are all over the moon for Asia, and April & Horst. What a great match!

Enjoy the good life little girl, you will be missed! Be goodl!!!

Thank you to everyone who followed Asia's journey, cared about and supported her. She is well on her way now  :)

June 2009 ~ Update!!

Just a little Asia update! We had to expand Miss Asia's collar this past weekend she is a "growing" concern. As always we just can't believe how lucky we are, this girl quite simply lights up our life! She is a veritable bundle of love, playfulness & enthusiasm. We can't believe how well behaved she is for such a young lady, does wonderful "taking care"  of her house when we work but of course blue jean days are her favorite (she already knows, black pants are work days & pouts, blue jeans make her dance!) Speaking of dancing, she loves when her dad plays music & her & I "dance". Asia has many special places but her very fav is the cemetery across the street, she thinks it's her own private park for becoming entirely aerodynamic while chasing her balls (both before & after work). When we are only going for a walk she has to peek through the fence several times to make sure it hasn't disappeared since last we visited. She has made friends with everyone we meet, dog & human as well as treating our cat Emerald to a tongue bath a few times a day. Emerald walks under Asia's chest & rubs her then flops in front of Asia for snuggling. If Asia gets a little too excited Emerald just slips out of sight for a couple minutes. Visiting either of us at work & all the attention it generates makes her day. On Tuesdays Asia often goes to work with me caring for my elderly Uncle & she perks him right up also! Anyway, we are so grateful again, she is a rare & wonderful treasure even though she did chew up 1 "no pull" harness & a couple of Horst's combs (he's a slow learner!) we wouldn't part with her for anything, she is adored! April
Hope you enjoy the pics!

Special thanks to all of Asia's sponsors!
