Hailey is very new to us (August 27th) so we will update her page as we learn more about here.

However, she will be attending our adoption day this Saturday, August 29th. See our main page for directions and times!

Hailey is a PB female, likely around 2 years old or under.

This poor girl was picked up by one of the pounds and while the owner knew she was there, they did nothing to go and claim their girl. They thought the fees were too expensive, so left her there for whatever may happen. And "whatever may happen" almost did!

If the pound had not called us, this sweet girl would of been put down, as this particular shelter does not keep the dogs for long once their holding period is up.

Hailey is a very sweet girl! She appears to be house broken, knows some very basic commands, and gets along famously with other dogs.

She is not yet spayed, but will be before she is able to go to her new home.

Hailey is a high energy girl, and also a bit of an escape artist. She is never to be left alone in a yard as she could easily scale a 6 foot fence! She is not doing it to take off, but rather to be where her people are.

She would be a perfect dog for someone in a condo or an apartment that also is very active with their dogs.

She will need to be brought up to date on her obedience and solid recall is a must!

September 25th 2009 ~ update

Hailey has now been spayed and tattooed, and is ready for her forever home.

She is a really great dog who gets along well with everyone. She submits easily to almost all dogs and really just wants to play! She is very happy and a great companion. She is now housetrained, crate trained, rides well in the car and is working on basic obedience.

Hailey would love a home where there is another active dog, but if you keep her happy and entertained, she would enjoy that too! She would do best in a home where at least one person is home during the day. Long days on her own could result in some renovations for you upon your return!

Hailey has transitioned very well to the raw diet and it has done wonders for her coat and overall health. She just can't believe her good fortune with all this great food, friends to play with and people that love her!

If you are interested in adding Hailey to your family, please email us for an application: GSDRescue@shaw.ca

October 7th ~ Adopted!!!

Enjoy the good life Hailey! Special thanks to Linda & Gord for giving this sweet girl a safe place for life where she will be very well loved! And to Gerry & Tim, for giving yet another special soul a paw up :)

November 2nd ~ Update! (yay! already!)

Hailey went on holidays and had a great time. She is fitting into this family so well that we are continually amazed.

She likes the beach. She met all the neighbors on Texada and their dogs and loved them all. The only weird thing she did was to eat the butter that was left in a dish. Lucky there was not a lot left. I had gone outside to get Gord and she decided to help herself. Now we call her butter ball. Lol
