GSRBC has been approved for the Aeroplan Charitable Pooling program. We have been given a charitable Aeroplan account so that we can collect Aeroplan miles from generous supporters, and use these miles to purchase raffle and other prizes to raise money for the dogs. We are only able to collect miles for 1 month every year, and we have chosen March as our month. We're spreading the word so that our wonderful supporters can start working hard to collect miles! Please check out the link by clicking on the logo, and start collecting! This program is an easy way for our supporters to donate and really doesn't cost anything. All you have to do is buy your gas from Esso or purchase from one of the stores listed. If everyone donates some miles, we will have enough to get some awesome prizes! Dog Volunteers Needed

We are in need of people who would be interested in volunteering in our dog walking program. This is a very rewarding program that has volunteers working with our dogs and enhance their lives here at the GSRBC.

The program strongly benefits our dogs while they are staying with us and helps to prepare them for their adoption and transition into their new forever home. The following are a few of the guidelines for the program:

- You must be at least 18 years of age
- You must have an up to date tetanus shot
- We are currently looking for volunteers that can give the same day every week for a minimum of 2 hours. Our dogs love to go on hikes or walks and in the summer they really enjoy going for a swim in a nearby lake
- The majority of the dogs available for this program are located in Chilliwack.
- You must have experience with large breed dogs and basic dog behavior

We'd love to see some of our dogs go through a obedience class with the same volunteer. This would require a commitment one night a week to class, and then working with 'your' project dog a few times or more during the week.
