November 29th & 30th 2008 GSRBC will be taking part in the West Coast Christmas Pet & Craft Fair at the Agri-plex in Cloverdale.  This is a great weekend for animal lovers and craft enthusiasts.  For this event we are looking for items for our "prize tree".  Some of the prizes that were enjoyed last year included;  dog toys & treats, mini picture frames, leash hangers, specialty chocolates, plush toys, memo pads, candles, and small specialty baskets.  We are also looking for various types of crafts to sell separately on our table (while people are waiting their turn at the prize tree!!).

Thank you for your support and we look forward to seeing you again this year!

GSRBC Cookbooks only a few left from our second and final run!

We sold out of the first run! The second run of the GSRBC cookbook is now ready! We are all very excited with this tiny keepsake of recipes and our dog's stories. Ever read a cookbook that could make you cry? You have got to check this out! See our sale page, or contact us for more information.

Penny Drive

We are requesting that you search your pockets, purses, cars and drawers for those pesky pennies that you end up throwing in a jar, and throw them our way for a good cause instead! Give us an email, and we'll let you know where to drop them off or make arrangements to come by and get them! This will help us raise some much needed funding for the dogs in our care. By saving pennies, everyone, regardless of economic status, can play a part in helping homeless animals. Persons who have absolutely no money, can find a penny on the street and save it to give for the benefit of those in need.
This Penny Drive does not exclude those who are blessed to be able to give more from doing so. However it does encourage everyone, regardless of economic status, to experience the joy of giving! If you have any questions in regards to this project, we invite you to email us

GSRBC was formed in June of 2004.  We were incorporated  with non-profit status on October 29th 2004 and received federal Charitable status in Canada on April 1st 2005. We depend on our wonderful extended family of fosters, volunteers, adopters, and supporters to carry on in our mission.  Without them, we could never continue. It is thanks to people like you that we are successful.  One hundred percent of all donations go directly into the rescued dog's new beginning - providing everything from medical treatment, spaying & neutering, to training, food, and in some cases, boarding.  Adoption fees help, but are not enough.

The average cost per dog in 2007 totaled approximately $1043.36. This total does not include toys, bedding, leashes, gas, office or cleaning supplies, volunteer training, advertising, or any other expenditures.
