German Shepherd Rescue of BC (GSRBC) is presently funded entirely by donations from individuals, adoption donations and our fundraising efforts.  We receive NO government funding and are not eligible because we are breed specific. We are in need of many things to help in our mission.  If you would like to help, here is a list of items we need to help care for our rescue dogs.
We appreciate the community effort very much and thank you on behalf of the GSRBC dogs and all our volunteers.


Money - We understand in these times that funds are tight for everyone. People have families to raise, bills to pay and financial obligations. If you are able to help out with even a small amount, we appreciate it.  100% of all money donated goes directly to the vet bills and care and feeding of our rescues. Donations go a long way to help spay and neuter dogs, vaccinate animals and pay for any other medical bills that come up, as well as food, which you can imagine, can be very costly. GSRBC often takes on takes on the harder, more financially needy dogs that no one else wants. We never want to turn away an animal in need because of lack of funding. 

Foster Homes - Too many times we have to turn away dogs in need because we simply don't have anymore room for them. Please consider becoming a pre-approved foster home, so we can quickly fill the need for the GSDs that need us AND YOU. This is our single biggest need to date! Housing is an issue and there are not enough homes to go around.

• Dog Treats & Large Kong Toys (soccer balls are great and the dogs really enjoy them!)

• Quality dog shampoo

• Advantage ** We are always in desperate need of this!

   

  Our ultimate dream, of course is to be able to have land to build enough housing to accommodate the majority of the dogs we are asked to help. We get 6 - 8 calls every single day about a GSD in need. It's just not possible to help them all. But our dream is to be able to build a place full of love and patience, where problem GSDs can be rehabilitated and no lost soul will fall through the cracks again. Can you imagine, a safe place where German Shepherds can run without a care in the world? Where they are safe and loved and valued? Where no one loses their life, and are able to live out their days, while getting training to be ready for their new families?  We can... and we will continue to strive for that special place.
